Diagnostics & medical care
When your pet isn't feeling their best, having access to experienced veterinary care and appropriate diagnostics is essential.
Our team can assess your pet, investigate concerns and develop a tailored treatment plan based on their individual needs.
Diagnostic services may include comprehensive blood testing and other investigations recommended by your veterinarian. Our team will explain what is recommended, why it is needed and what the results mean for your pet.
We also provide ongoing medical management for a range of conditions, from short-term illnesses and infections through to longer-term health conditions.
An open hospital approach
We know that leaving your pet at the veterinary hospital can be one of the hardest parts of having a procedure.
That's why Kindred Vet has been designed with an open hospital approach, creating greater transparency between our veterinary team and the families we care for.
Where appropriate, owners can stay at the clinic while their pet undergoes surgery or watch their pet's dental procedure. We want you to feel informed, involved and reassured about the care your pet is receiving.
Our open approach is part of our commitment to making veterinary care feel more welcoming and collaborative — because we know you're an important part of your pet's healthcare team too.
Overnight hospitalisation
Some pets need additional care and monitoring beyond their consultation or procedure.
Kindred Vet offers overnight hospitalisation, allowing patients who need continued monitoring, treatment, medication or supportive care to remain under veterinary supervision.
This can be particularly important following surgery or for pets who are unwell and require ongoing observation.
Our team will assess your pet's individual needs and keep you informed about their
Surgery & advanced orthopaedics
We provide surgical care ranging from routine procedures through to advanced orthopaedic surgery.
Our surgical capabilities include:
- ACL and cruciate ligament surgery
- Fracture repairs
- Luxating patella surgery
- Soft-tissue surgery
- Routine elective procedures
- Other surgical procedures recommended by our veterinary team
Veterinary dentistry
Dental health is an important part of your pet's overall wellbeing. Dental disease is common in dogs and cats and can progress if left untreated.
Kindred Vet provides professional dental care, including scale and polish for Grade 1/2 dental disease.
Your pet's teeth and gums can also be assessed during their regular health checks, allowing our team to identify concerns early and recommend appropriate treatment.
Our open hospital approach also means that, where appropriate, you can watch your pet's dental procedure, giving you greater visibility into their care.
Medication & ongoing treatment
Whether your pet needs medication for a short-term illness or ongoing treatment for a chronic condition, our veterinary team can help manage their care.
We provide access to veterinary medications and ongoing treatment plans tailored to your pet's individual needs.
Discounts on medication and selected veterinary services are also available.
24/7 Teletriage
Pets don't always become unwell during business hours. Sometimes it's difficult to know whether something you've noticed is an emergency, whether your pet needs to be seen immediately or whether it can safely wait until the clinic opens.
That's why we provide 24/7 teletriage with veterinary staff as part of our membership.
Around the clock, you can access veterinary guidance to help assess your pet's situation and determine the most appropriate next step.
This may include advice on monitoring your pet at home, arranging an appointment with Kindred Vet or seeking urgent after-hours veterinary care.
Teletriage provides an additional layer of support when you need reassurance or guidance outside normal clinic hours.
Digital health records
Your pet's health history shouldn't be difficult to find or understand.
With digital health records, your pet's important medical information can be kept organised and accessible, helping our team provide informed and consistent care over time.
From vaccinations and blood results to dental procedures, medications and surgical history, maintaining a comprehensive record helps us understand the bigger picture of your pet's health.
